How you can make your mark

In the role of electronics technician you will make your mark securing the compiling of (complex) electronic equipment in our E&I Services workshop. You will, together with your team of engineers, also ensure proper operations of (complex) electronic equipment. Next to that you are responsible for the proper installations of the electronic equipment.
You will work with the top segment of solutions for major maritime challenges. You can imagine that Boskalis, with a fleet of 1,000 vessels and equipment, has a lot to offer to you as a electronics technician in terms of technical challenges.
The E&I Services workshop department is responsible for the supply and maintenance of hydrographic, surveying, positioning, instrumentation and related ICT equipment of very high quality. This equipment is used on projects and ships all over the world to accurately carry out the projects that Boskalis has acquired. Very high reliability and the complete delivery of the equipment that is adequate for this is of paramount importance.
Your responsibilities as electronics technician

• Testing of electronic equipment / installations for on site or on board.
• Execution and coordination of planned and unplanned maintenance of E&I equipment.
• Ensuring proper administration of executed maintenance, consumption of spare parts and services of subcontractors for designated equipment.
• Contributing to the development and improvement of maintenance policies and procedures for E&I installations.
• Providing instructions on proper usage of E&I installations.
• Advise and inform customers about service orders, repairs, and available equipment / alternatives.
• Supervise inventory management, warehouse and logistics operations.
• Performing of calibrations and ensuring proper administration and documentation.

Your qualities
You can make your mark as electronics technician if you have:

• Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in a technical environment.
• Secondary Vocational Education: Electronics / Instrumentation.
• Knowledge of the technical operation of the installations of designated equipment.
• Knowledge of operational processes.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
