As Innovation Coordinator you will be part of our Innovation Management team within the Corporate Research & Development department. We continuously invest in the development of new methods and cutting-edge technology to increase the efficiency, effectiveness and environmental sustainability of our dredging, offshore energy and towage/salvage activities.

The Innovation Coordinator plays a crucial role in driving and promoting the value of innovation within the organization. This role involves scanning and organizing our external innovation ecosystem stakeholders with our business challenges in mind, facilitating strategic innovation initiatives, assisting in problem-solving and overcoming barriers to implementation with the goal to add value to the business. The Innovation Coordinator supports the development and maintenance of a culture of innovation within the organization.

Your responsibilities asInnovation Coordinator:

• Communicate and promote the business value of innovations throughout the organization, demonstrating the benefits and impact of innovative solutions.
• Build and maintain an ecosystem with stakeholders, such as startups/scaleups, suppliers, research/knowledge institutes, competitors and industry experts, to foster collaboration and access to innovative resources.
• Assist in developing and implementing innovation strategies and programs suited to the business needs
• Coordinate and facilitate the innovation process, including the generation, evaluation, and selection of ideas for implementation.
• Provide guidance and support to employees involved in innovation projects, assisting in problem-solving and overcoming barriers to implementation.
• Conduct research and analysis on emerging trends and technologies relevant to the organization's industry, identifying potential opportunities for innovation.
• Stay updated on best practices in innovation management and participate in relevant conferences, workshops, and networking events to enhance knowledge and skills

Your qualities and experience
You can move ahead as an Innovation Coordinator if you have:

• At least 4 years' relevant work experience in in coordinating or supporting innovation projects within a corporate or entrepreneurial environment
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Innovation , Engineering)
• Proven track record in driving the successful implementation of innovative solutions
• Capability to actively foster and cultivate internal and external relationships.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self-motivated and proactive in identifying business challenges
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with innovation frameworks and strategies
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
• Experience in conducting research and analysis on emerging trends and technologies
• A good command of written and spoken English and Dutch.
