How you can make your mark

Make your mark as a Data Engineer at Boskalis! Imagine automating the real-time sensor data from our fleet and supporting on NOx reduction for sustainability reporting. In this role, you will have the chance to contribute to our operations by utilizing your skills in data movement and creating data insights. You will have the opportunity to work with cloud technology platforms like Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.

Your responsibilities as a Data Engineer:

• Extract, collect, store and process huge sets of (un) structured data.
• Develop new data pipelines and innovations required by the business on the Boskalis Data Platform.
• Build and maintain the data warehouse & data lake on Data Platform, mainly based on Azure Databricks.
• Close collaboration with data scientists, management of business units, fleet management, engineering, procurement and IT.

You can make your mark as Data Engineer if you have:

• At least 3 years' relevant work experience as a Data Engineer.
• A Bachelor's / degree.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure Databricks, Python/Pyspark, SQL and Azure Data Factory.
• Data warehousing experience, Kimball data & generic data modelling.
• Experience on the Azure Data platform.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• You eligible to already work and live in the Netherlands.

• Your team: You will be part of our Data Analytics team. This team of consists 10 data analytics) engineers, that operates at the intersection of data technology and our core businesses of dredging and offshore operations.
• Where you will work: For office-based roles, in consultation with your manager and your team, you work partly at home and partly in the office.
• Full/part-time job: The position of function is a full-time (40 hours a week)
