Vacature Lead Mechanical Engineer - Offshore

I am searching for a Lead Mechanical Engineer that can oversee and inspire a young team of experts while leading and developing existing equipment for offshore installations.

You have the responsibility of developing one or more products or optimizations in your role as Lead Engineer. As part of our team, you will collaborate with other engineers to ensure that the various engineering department disciplines are in sync and to track the advancement of the project.

As a Lead Mechanical Engineer in this team, you will be responsible for:

* Delegating, coordinating, and supervising engineering projects where offshore engineering teams and third parties are involved;
* Mentoring young professionals in our engineering team;
* Optimizing and developing equipment such as our hydraulic piling spreads, handling, and lifting tools (SolidEdge);
* Performing calculations to verify our design (Excel, MathCad, FEMAP);
* Managing and releasing the status of designs and documents within our PLM system (TeamCenter);
* Supporting the production and service department in case of malfunction and during the commissioning of new equipment;
* Traveling to suppliers, clients and/or project sites occasionally.
